Sam: tenor sax, flute, percussion

Sammy studied saxophone and music theory at The American Conservatory of Music and University of Illinois. Most recently, a member of The Business, Sammy brings a wealth of experience. In 1991 he lead his own Latin Jazz Sextet featuring such artists as Elmer Brown (Earth, Wind, & Fire), Edwin Sanchez (La India and Tito Nieves), and Joe Rendon, arguably Chicago's top congero. Sammy is well versed in Salsa, Latin Jazz, Funk, and R&B. Musical Influences include John Coltrane, Grover Washington Jr. and Gato Barbieri.
